Description: Endangered Historic Site, the Village of Zoar, will be hosting the Annual Harvest Festival which features antiques show, historic demonstrations, and live performances. The Harvest Festival carries on a long-standing Zoarite tradition of celebrating the final gathering of summer wheat. It is widely regarded as the home of one of the countryss best antique shows and sales, with more than 60 vendors selling historic wares. Along with a craft show, art exhibition, beehive oven baking in the bakery, store, and several museums will be hosting period reenactments and demonstrations throughout the weekend, including 19th-century techniques in blacksmithing, butter churning, weaving, and bee keeping. Homemade German food and beer will served, and visitors can also enjoy live music performances and wagon rides. The festival is especially notable, as the historic Village of Zoar is currently at risk of being relocated or partially demolished; threat that prompted the National Trust for Historic Preservation to place it on its Endangered list.
