Description: Everyone is Irish on St. Patrick's day in downtown Scranton, PA! Make plans to attend America's 4th largest St. Patrick's Day parade and celebration. The parade and events take place the weekend before St. Patrick's Day. Post parade party at the Scranton Cultural Center with participants from the parade: Irish step dancers, bagpiper bands, etc.

Description: A three day celebration of arts, heritage, industry and community held the first weekend of June at the Scranton Iron Furnaces, 159 Cedar Avenue, Scranton, PA, 18505, a four acre site along Roaring Brook and managed by the Pennsylvania State Anthracite Heritage Museum and Iron Furnaces. The Iron Furnaces site contains a former working iron foundry from the 1840's where many of the early immigrants to Scranton worked. Set against this historic backdrop, visitors to the Arts on Fire Festival can enjoy hands on history and the best of contemporary art. Friday night is an opening reception.
